a bit of advice

"Mothers from miles around worried about Zuckerman's swing. They feared some child would fall off. But no child ever did. Children almost always hang onto things tighter than their parents think they will."

--E.B. White, Charlotte's Web

Isn't that the truth?

Sometimes good parenting advice pops up where I least expected it--

such a good reminder to let my kids be kids.

simply a great post, and a great way of saying our children do love us more than we think they do (or at least more than they act like at times :-) Your blog is beautiful!

Amen. And when they're adults, let 'em be adults, too.

As many times as I've read Charlotte's Web I'm amazed that I've never taken notice of those wise words. Yes, with two active boys I must remember them.
