I'm not sure what happened, but we've had the most uneventful winter this year.
Little green shoots are already poking their heads up all around the yard.
And recently I've smelled that hint of spring in the air.
Thoughts of spring now occupy my mind--kids playing out back, Easter dresses, working in the garden, and Cadbury Mini Eggs (yum!).

my peonies are already popping up- i can't believe it!
Glory be!
It's like that here too, but I think the rest of the country is still stuck in the midst of a harsh winter.
I'm enjoying the warmer weather we've started having.
Blessings,
Marcia
I thought I caught a faint whiff of it, then it got snowed on!
Sweet vintage pics.
I'm not ready! I love winter! But Easter dresses do beckon. I forget how wonderful spring is each year, and sort of feel like Bambi... it's all new all over again!
i'm barely starting to smell the hint and it makes me soo excited for something green. one can only live in a grey world for so long.:D
i blog stalk you by the way...
i love that you love children's books...you and i have the same taste in literature!
happy spring!
Oh Jenny I just can not wait for Spring... It was lovely here in the prarie lands yesterday but today it is cold and rainy and Sunday the weather people are saying we are suppose to get 6 inches of snow...sigh...
I'll just keep thinking of Spring and knowing that somewhere in the US it smelled like Spring :O)
Looking through your book list I am recommending one of my fav's when I raised my girls. Not sure it is still in print. "The Hidden Art of Homemaking", by Edith Schaffer. I seriously think you will love it!
Jenny (dear) Oh how I adore your previous post! What true meaning there is behind a hand written letter. Today has broken all of the rules with the technology it has to offer. It saddens me. But, then again, here I am writing you a comment.... I guess it really can never be the same.
I was raised in the Seattle, Everett, Stanwood areas over there in WA. And am now in Idaho with my own family.
For some reason you look so familiar. Maybe I just see your heart. Who knows.
I adore your blog, and love reading about your goings on.
Thank you for sharing a piece of your life with me.
Aminta
You must really be enjoying your hints of Spring...;)all around.
How is it??
We're starting to see some around here, too.
