Saying Goodbye to Summer

Although I'm excited to welcome the fall, part of me would like to hold onto these last few days of summer. I love sending my barefoot children outside after dinner with ice cream cones in hand. There's something comforting in hearing my children laugh and run about while I weed my garden in the cool of the evening.

We picked these yummy peaches this morning. I'd like to make a pie this afternoon, but the day is quickly slipping away from me.

I picked these two items up in a little shop near the orchard for only a few dollars.

Enjoy your last few days of summer!

That is such a lovely tablecloth! And I am so glad that you were still able to get some peaches-mine are still waiting for me to do something with them in the fridge...

We are really looking forward to our little preschool time on Friday! Audrey has been talking about going to "Jenny's School" ever since we left :)

I have been ready to decorate for fall since the beginning of September. But I just can't close the door to summer yet!

Oh how I wish it were a tablecloth! It's only a small napkin.
