God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea,
And rides upon the storm.
Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy, and shall break
In blessings on your head.
-William Cowper

what a beautiful and moving poem...sometimes we think we know all the answers. how foolish. may we always remember God is truly in control and give Him the glory.
Beautiful imagery. Limitless mercy!
I like this, thank you for sharing!!
I like the second stanza especially. I am so often foolishly fearful. Oh, the wonderful mercy of God!
Is this a hymn?
Thank you - I needed that!

Wonderful message! It is so encouraging to be reminded of His blessings raining down on us. Thanks!
What a sweet way to be reminded that fear is not of the Lord and that we are in His hands. Thanks.
