What wonderful things to have. You are so lucky that the women of your family decided to hold on to all those precious things. You are a lucky girl! :)
those are some of the sweetest little towels i've ever seen. how wonderfully special that you get them. family treasures warm the heart. don't you love to invision her using them?
There are darling!! And how very special that you have them for your collection!!
My grandma made my mother a set of hand towels with Clown's on them that she embroidered herself for Christmas! Mom isn't sure she wants to use them for awhile. I thought that we should try to frame a few so that we always have them!
Those are the funniest towels! Isn't it nice to have something from your Great-grandmother. I just got an apron from my mom that was made by my Great-grandmother. I'm going to use the design to sew some curtains for my kitchen. I just love that vintage look.
Oh, and I've been thinking of doing some flour sack cloths (days of the week) to give away as gifts. This vegetable thing is really funny. I might have to do a parody on it and put a little humor on my towels.
Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places. Surely I have a delightful inheritance. Psalm 16:5-6
