This morning as I thought about our current situation, I heard something very familiar running around inside my head. It sounded like something I've read in the book of Exodus, right after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea--after they sang their song of deliverance and then demanded, moaned and complained, uttering these words...
“What are we going to drink?”
“If only the Lord had killed us back in Egypt. There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.”
...and right after crossing the Red Sea, too! I remember reading this thinking, "Come on, you guys! God just parted a SEA for you!"
But oh, that temptation is so strong right now, even though our house sold without putting it on the market--without even having to show it--the equivalent of a Red Sea crossing in my book!

He is the God of the impossible! How exciting is that!!! The best part....when He allows you to be in a situation so out of your control you can't do anything but wait on His timing! Easy to say, hard to live.
When I was a college student, my family was in a similar situation. It was wonderful to see God open doors and take care of us in a time of uncertainty; I will look forward to seeing Him do the same for you! Praying!
Jenn, just you wait for the Lord to do HIS THING. Boy, do I know! He will not fail you as you trust him. He will carry you OVER the red sea!!! I will pray for a quick work of his to happen. His will be done.
May I encourage you with these words...
Doubt sees the obstacles,
Faith sees the way.
Doubt sees the darkest night,
Faith sees the day.
Doubt dreads to take a step,
Faith soars on high.
Doubt questions, "who believes?"
Faith answers, "I".
And with these verses from Isaiah 45:2-3.
"I will go before you and will level the mountians,
I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name."
Will be thinking of you... in prayer.
My dear - Our God was not taken by surprise by this
" set-back" - Keep packing ( you can do it ! ) and the doors will be opened as He needs them to be opened for your best ! -
Finding a wonderful love note from Gracie like the one on the table in the picture should make it all worthwhile.
Don't forget Jeremiah 23:11, my favorite when I think things are not going the right way.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
